For the last eleven years the Sustainable City Awards have recognised and rewarded UK organisations, from multinational companies and local authorities to small charities and businesses, for outstanding achievements and innovation across all aspects of sustainability.
An air quality award was successfully introduced to the scheme in 2010, attracting a large number of high quality applications. The past winners of the Sustainable City Award for Air Quality were Clean Air in London and Invisible Dust and past runners up have included Sheffield City Council, Gnewt Cargo and Nomura International plc.
