UK Government in Court over air pollution
News from the LAQN

The Government faces a hearing in the Court of Appeal on Wednesday (30 May) over its actions to tackle air pollution. The case is being bought by ClientEarth, a non-profit environmental rights organisation, and follows a High Court case in December when Defra admitted breaching European Union pollution limits. At that time however, the judge did not take any action against the Government, ruling that this was a matter for the European Commission. Now, the Court of Appeal has agreed that the case should be re-examined.
