New data visualisation tools
News from the LAQN

The next phase of the rolling LondonAir updates has just been launched. Among other updates we’ve launched data visualisation tools, a new way of looking at trends in pollution at sites and being able to compare long term pollution levels verses short term peaks, both important for health impacts.
The new visualisations for the first time allows an easy graphical way of studying Air Quality Objectives both across time, allowing you to see if your locality is improving or getting worse, and mean against peaks, to see if an areas particular problem is with short term peaks, levels across the year, or both.
The tools were created by Mehdi Khoury, who worked in our MRC-PHE Centre for Health and the Environment.
Since pollution does not respect borough boundaries the tools enable you to view data across any combination of boroughs you wish, enabling local authority officers to see at a glance how all their sites are doing so far this year, and residents to compare the area surrounding them.

We hope you find these prototypes useful and welcome feedback on them.
