You can download measurements by following these steps:

Choose to download either data for one site or data for one species for up to six sites, and select the appropriate download page. Then follow the steps on the page:

• Choose the site or sites you want from the dropdown boxes.
• Choose the time period.
• Select the averaging period. Measurements are stored as 15 minute means. Longer averaging periods represent the mean concentration over the averaging period providing at least 75% capture rate was achieved during that period.
  
• In some cases it is possible to also select the measurement units; mass or volumetric. Standard EC conversion factors are used. NOX is assumed to be entirely NO2 for the purposes of ppb to ugm-3 conversion (ppb * 1.9125).
  
• Press "Plot Graph". This will produce a graph of the selected data and display warnings where data have low capture rates or have not been fully ratified.
• A link is provided to allow you to check the site information such as location, proximity to roads etc. Use your browser's back button to return to the download page after viewing this information.
• Finally, Press the download button
  Data are saved into a CSV: Comma delimited ASCII format file - a simple format compatible with many database and spreadsheet software packages including MS Excel and notepad. The first line contains field headings, and each subsequent line is a single data point.
  

The downloaded file has the following fields (columns):

• Site - Site code. This can be cross referenced with the site information link provided on the download page.
• Species - The species code; pollutants use standard chemical notation (e.g., CO = carbon monoxide), meteorological parameters are as follows: WSPD = wind speed, WDIR = wind direction, BP = barometric pressure, TMP = ambient temperature, RAIN = rainfall, SOLR = incoming solar radiation.
• DateTime - Date and time of the measurement. 15 minute, hourly and daily measurements are for the period beginning that quoted (e.g., the hourly mean value for 01-jan-2000 12:00 encompasses measurements taken between 12:00 and 12:59 on 01 January 2000), whereas the rolling 8 and 24 hour values are to the end of the period, i.e., the 8 or 24 hours up to the end of the hour of the DateTime.
• Value - Measurement concentration or value given to 1 decimal place. This should not be taken as an indication of accuracy or precision.
• Units - Shows the units the values are quoted in, and whether gravimetric conversions have been applied to particulate data.
• Provisional or Ratified - P for provisional and R for Ratified. Provisional measurements may be excluded or scaled up or down during the quality control process and are therefore subject to change. Ratified measurements have been through the full QAQC procedure and will not change in the future.
