LondonAir wins a second top website award
News from the LAQN

LondonAir has won first place in Air Quality Management’s annual web site review. Each year the magazine reviews over 500 websites and LondonAir was awarded first place in the ‘consortium’ websites. This follows our recent first place in the Air Quality Bulletin’s annual web site awards.

Air quality manager Gary Fuller said, The provision of air quality information is at the core of our work and we are very proud to receive this award. Recent analysis of monthly traffic on the LondonAir site shows that our visitor numbers are around half those of the national www.airquality.co.uk .This came as a surprise to me since LondonAir only covers around 1/6 of the UK population. LondonAir''s visitor numbers clearly reflect the importance of LondonAir as a resource for both public and professionals. First place in both''industry awards'' is a great achievement and is testament the work of our web team, Sam Hope-Evans, Robert Hepburn and Ben Barratt. We are very grateful for the sponsorship provided the Mayor of London and the Environment Agency. Once again we would like to thank the London boroughs, Transport for London, BAA and the local authorities around London that contribute measurements to LondonAir.

We would welcome suggestions for further improvement to the LondonAir web site. Are there sections of the web site that you would like to see extended or new topics areas or data analysis tools that we can include. For details of how to contact us click below.
