Following the success of the LAQN seminar in January we are planning to hold a further seminar on 9th July 2007.
The July seminar will focus on air pollution measurement. It will be designed to support those local authorities
that undertake their own site operation: providing practical tips for site operators, highlighting the importance
of equipment calibration and detailing the way that calibration results are used to produce validated air pollution
measurements.
The seminar will aim to de-mystify the processes involved in the production of a final measurement data set
including ratification and UKAS accredited audits. This essential perspective will therefore be relevant to
all end users of air quality measurements.
Other topics covered will include a new method to make TEOM data equivalent to ‘gravimetric’ measurements,
the use of oxidative potential as a new measurement of PM10 and the use of air pollution measurements in
epidemiological studies.
The seminar will be free although priority will be given to delegates from our partner organisations and those
organisations with a stake hold in the measurement and management of air pollution across London and the south east.
Attendance certificates will be provided.
The draft agenda for the seminar can be found by clicking the link below. If you are interested in
attending please contact admin@erg.kcl.ac.uk
