2007 LAQN Seminar
News from the LAQN

The 2007 London Air Quality Network seminar will be held on 19th January 2007.

This year’s seminar will focus on two themes:

New Issues in NO2 and PM10 – including updates to the WHO guidelines and incorporating primary NO2 emissions in the London inventory. Two presentations on PM10 will look at primary PM10 from London and important issues linked new automated measurement methods.

Congestion Charging and the Low Emission Zone – speakers from TfL, St George’s Medical School, and King’s will explore evidence for changes arising from Congestion Charging, specifically changes in air pollution concentrations, the toxicity of London’s air and signals from health data. Further speakers from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and King’s will consider the detection of air pollution and health changes from the proposed Low Emission Zone.

Sessions will be chaired by Bob Maynard from the Health Protection Agency and Martin Williams from Defra.
