In less than three weeks London will play host to the 2012 Olympic games and welcome hundreds of thousands of visitors, spectators and athletes to the capital city.
The effects of air pollution on athletes came to the fore during the 1984 Los Angeles Games, and has remained on the Olympic agenda since. This summer the spotlight will be on London.
