Shortlisted for THE Leadership & Management Award

King’s Health, Environment and Innovation project was recently shortlisted for a Times Higher Education Leadership & Management Award 2010 in the Outstanding Knowledge Exchange/Transfer Initiative Award category.

This project to reduce air pollution in London, combating lung and cardiovascular illness and stimulating innovation is being undertaken by the Environmental Research Group at King's. ERG has played a critical role in the planning and design of the capital’s Low Emission Zone, which came into operation in 2008 and their work has a direct impact on the design of road transport policy in London.

The Times Higher Education Leadership & Management awards, now in their second year, celebrate the sector's leadership, management, financial and business skills. They showcase the extraordinary innovation, teamwork and commercial acumen of UK higher education institutions.

This year there were 264 entries across the 18 categories. The 18 winners were announced at the gala Awards dinner on 17 June at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London.
