The London Low Emission Construction Partnership - National Air Quality Awards
News from the LAQN

The London Low Emission Construction Partnership (LLECP) was one of three finalists in the 'Best Air Quality Communications Campaign' category of the National Air Quality Awards. The awards were hosted by Air Quality News and took place at the Institute of Air Quality’s ‘Routes to Clean Air' conference in Bristol during October.

The LLECP aims to raise awareness of the construction industry’s impact on local air quality. It has an active outreach programme which incorporates presentations to major London infrastructure projects, developers, contractors and trade bodies, a dedicated website and social media accounts promoting ‘best in class’ pollution abatement techniques. The LLECP also trials new mitigation techniques in a real-world ‘living lab’ environment and assesses the emission reduction impacts using high quality on-site measurement and specialist data analysis.

The partnership is funded through the Mayors Air Quality Fund, and includes the GLA, TfL, central London boroughs, demolition and construction industry, low emission technology providers and King’s College London.
