City of Westminster reopens site at Covent Garden
News from the LAQN

The City of Westminster Council has reopened its site at Covent Garden which previously closed in January 2011. The site is in a background location close to the London Transport Museum and measures nitrogen dioxide. Up-to-date measurements can be found on the LondonAir website along with further site details and photographs.

The Covent Garden measurements provide a useful indication of background levels in a busy central London location, in an area which exceeds the nitrogen dioxide EU Limit Value. The site makes a useful contribution to the LAQN and we are pleased to welcome it back online.
