City Air app update
News from the LAQN

The City Air app, a collaboration between King's and City of London, was launched last year.It is now used regularly by over 5,000 people in the capital who receive pollution alerts and advice on reducing their emissions and exposure.

The app has been featured by Apple and The Guardian, advertised on pedicabs in the West End, and this week King's are launching an update to take advantage of a new feature in Apple's iOS8 software.

iOS8 now features 'widgets', small app extensions that can be accessed by swiping down from the top to reveal the 'today' view - a very quick and simple dashboard of current information.

Users who have signed up to receive pollution alert notifications can now check the current pollution forecast level and associated health advice with one swipe, along with other contextual information such as weather and diary appointments.

Along with the update King's have also produced a quick walkthrough video which shows the app in action highlighting some of the main features.
