The Campaign for Clean Air in London was the winner in the Corporation of London’s inaugural sustainable city award for air quality. The Campaign for Clean Air in London (Clean Air in London) works by sharing information and research, conducting media campaigns and lobbying for action on air quality issues.

Two runners up prizes were awarded to GnewtCargo (GnewtCargo), an innovative new company specialising in urban last-mile delivery with electric vehicles and to Sheffield City Council (Sheffield is my Planet) for their work on bio methane for road transport.

Highly commended entries were Volvo Cars UK for their Emissions Equality Project (Emissions Equality Campaign) and the Open Air Laboratories Project (OPAL) (Open Air Laboratories Project) for their community based science work to raise awareness of how air pollution and climate change shape our environment .

Gary Fuller, from King’s College London said, We were very pleased to be able to support the air quality awards. These showcased innovation in improving public awareness of air pollution and novel solutions to tackle these problems in our urban areas.
