New Daily Air Quality Index film
News from the LAQN

King’s have today launched a new short film explaining how people can use the Daily Air Quality Index to understand the air pollution around them, and how it can affect their health. The film features several members of the public including cyclist commuter David Rollinson, along with Professor Stephen Holgate, from the University of Southampton, who chairs the advisory group responsible for the index, and Professor Frank Kelly from King’s who chairs the Committee on the Medical Effects of Air Pollution.

The film is designed as a resource which can be embedded or linked from websites that provide public information about air pollution. You are welcome to link to this resource either through LondonAir, YouTube or Vimeo but please include an acknowledgement to King’s College London and LondonAir.

The new film was funded by a Defra air quality grant in conjunction with the City of London. It is part of a series of ten films on the LondonAir website, which cover a range of topics including winter and summertime smog, air pollution and climate change and how we measure air pollution in London.
